Pizza My Heart

Woke up early at 3 am and just didn't go back to sleep — started working, and playing a lot of Brawl Stars. I've definitely gotten addicted to it and spent too much time on it today, which is probably a sign to stop. Maybe I should just delete it once and for all. It might be a good idea, even if it is a great time-waster. I should be focusing more on my app and my world anyway.

I keep thinking — what if I made a habit of deleting the app every day after I grab the daily rewards? But at that point it might already be too late, my whole brain already dopamine-hooked. Yeah. It's a bit of a dilemma.

Got a $42 parking fine yesterday because I parked by the "Civic Center" of Los Gatos, even though the lot was clearly right in front of the library. I guess with that one you really have to track exactly how long you can park — only 90 minutes allowed. So I'll do better from now on.

Jordan and I went to eat at Pizza My Heart. He was talking a lot about his work, and how glad he was to get one of his coworkers to actually work with him and help on the data engineering stuff — something he found himself spending too much time on. He's relieved that part is off his shoulders now. I think that's what smart delegation looks like.

I worked on my game and finalized the 16 regions for era 1 and the 16 regions/biomes for era 2. I also split the first era's arc into the main quest and the dog's quest — since dogs were prevalent in the Ukrainian mammoth steppe for the period I'm working in. Did some work on the clothing and camp system too, and finalized a few things' UI.

I think I'm almost there. Getting everything together, close to being satisfied with the work, and maybe shipping soon.
