3% of a Claude Plan

Went to the house today to list more stuff on Facebook Marketplace. Got three things up, which is — not a lot lol. The goal was more, but there's always a reason the goal was more. Someone was supposed to pick up the sofa today too, but they couldn't make it, so that's still sitting there being a sofa.

In the afternoon I had a vaccine appointment at Kaiser that I'd nearly forgotten about, so I went and did that. While I was there I noticed my vaccination records feel kind of sparse now — turns out a lot of my history didn't carry over from previous healthcare systems, so Kaiser just has this partial picture of me. I really wish there was some kind of universal health record sharing for this stuff. Not asking for anything complicated, just: you've been vaccinated, the other place knows, everyone moves on. Instead I'm standing there trying to remember what I got and when. Anyway, fine. 💉

The more interesting part of the day: I finally pulled the trigger on the Claude Max plan. $100 a month. I'd been thinking about it for a while, and with the ice age life game actually starting to feel real, it made sense.

And then I spent the rest of my first day on it... using up maybe 3% of the weekly allowance. 😭

To be fair, I think I just needed this tool the whole time — not Figma AI, not something else. Claude's frontend output has been genuinely impressive and I'm starting to wonder why I was looking anywhere else. The game is actually moving now, which is more than I can say for a while.

That night Jordan wanted to sleep early, and I stayed up trying to extract more value from my new subscription like it owed me something. He said, "understandable." Which is a very reasonable response from someone who is currently on the $200 plan 💀

Some people are just built different.
