First Sale
Better day than yesterday. Went back to the house and actually got a solid chunk of items listed on Marketplace this time — not everything, still a lot left, but at least it feels like progress rather than the three-items-and-a-sigh situation from Monday.
And then: the sofa sold. $150. First item gone. There's something disproportionately satisfying about that first sale — like the whole project suddenly has proof of concept. The rest will probably be harder, but the sofa is out there now, living its next life somewhere. 🛋️
I've got a lot of interest in the fake olive tree too, which I bought for $80 and listed at $60, which means I'm losing money on a fake plant, but that's fine, we move. Several people have reached out so now it's just a matter of who actually shows up. We'll see who claims the olive tree. 🌿
I got pretty deep into the ice age game in the afternoon — well into the evening actually, enough that Jordan had to send a "where are you?" at night, which is how I knew it was late. Packed up and headed home.
On the way I mentioned that my Google Maps location sharing had been on for him since the Sunday SF trip, which I'd kind of forgotten about, and he said he'd share his with me too. Small thing but I like it — just a quiet layer of being findable to each other. 📍
We put on War Machine when I got back, the Netflix one with Brad Pitt. Got through about 30 minutes before we decided to try sleeping early. Which we attempted. The obstacles: the heat (he runs hot, I run cold — I'm in a jacket while he's debating opening a window in March), and his farting, which at some point just became its own comic subplot to the evening 💀
Sleep eventually arrived. Eventually.
